A large-scale dataset of functional mouse ganglion cell layer responses

Published in bioRxiv, 2025

This work introduces the All-GCL dataset, a large-scale resource of functional two-photon Ca2+-imaging recordings with rich meta-data from more than 80,000 cells in the mouse ganglion cell layer. Compiled over nine years across 139+ experimental sessions, it includes light-evoked responses to various stimuli, functional group assignments for 46 cell types, and shows only small batch effects across experimenters, setups, and recording sessions — supporting population analyses, computational modeling, and machine learning development for vision neuroscience.
